At the relaunch, Naomi stood beside Priya, Lena, Simone, and the volunteer Adrian had endangered.
The screen listed contributors in commit order. Naomi's name appeared at its correct size and position.
She demonstrated the mechanical release before the autonomous movement. Every user received the tool and the right to disable remote updates.
A reporter asked whether being fired had saved the company.
"No," Naomi said. "The people they threatened saved it."
In the back row, Voss's empty seat had been replaced by two elected worker representatives.
Naomi placed her mother's original patent page in the public archive. Beneath it, the corrected product record remained open for anyone to inspect.
When the chair crossed the curb ramp without locking, no one applauded the machine first.
They applauded the woman sitting in it.
