Her Mother's Patent
The original joint patent belonged not to Northstar but to a family trust created by Naomi's mother. Northstar licensed it so long as an independent engineer controlled safety.
Owen had served as that engineer on paper after Naomi became CEO. He had never performed the work.
Voss threatened him with personal liability, forcing the transfer vote.
Naomi could stop the transfer by exposing her brother's neglect. Owen begged her to resign him without a public accusation.
She filed the objection with his name attached.
