At the engagement party that day, the sight of Claire Bennett all dressed up had stayed on his mind ever since, and now he had come to test the waters.

If everything Claire Bennett had done was all to attract his attention,

then he admitted she had succeeded.

These past few days, he kept thinking from time to time about the scene of Claire Bennett appearing at the engagement party. It made him itch with desire and want to have a taste of Claire Bennett.

If Claire Bennett was willing, he could keep her on the side in private.

Claire Bennett asked back leisurely, "What do you think?"

Of course Ethan Sterling knew that Claire Bennett wanted him to give up Naomi Pierce and marry her instead. Naomi Pierce had the Bennett family behind her, and there was no way he would give that up.

Ethan Sterling hadn't even finished speaking when Naomi Pierce's sharp voice cut him off. "Ethan!"

He stepped forward and pulled Naomi Pierce into his arms, soothing her. "Naomi, don't get worked up. I was just telling Claire that I won't give you up."

Listening to the two of them swear eternal love, Claire Bennett fought down the urge to gag. She smiled faintly and said to them, "Are you two done being lovey-dovey?"

The two of them looked at Claire Bennett in confusion.

The next second, Claire Bennett took her phone out of her pocket and pressed stop on the recording that was in progress.

Ethan Sterling's face instantly went pale.

Claire Bennett had actually dared to record him!

To ruin things between him and Naomi Pierce, she would do anything. She was really too scheming.

Claire Bennett sneered, "Naomi Pierce, I think you'd better listen to what Ethan Sterling just said before you say those things to me!"

After saying that, she pressed play on the recording.

Then she turned to Naomi Pierce and continued, "Naomi Pierce, take your man and get the hell away from me! Don't let either of you show up in front of me again!"

Ethan Sterling's expression turned ugly.

Naomi Pierce's expression was even more twisted with jealousy and fury, impossible to suppress, making her look terrifying.

She shoved Ethan Sterling hard away from her, then turned and stormed off at once.

Seeing Naomi Pierce leave in anger, Ethan Sterling instantly panicked and hurriedly shouted, "Naomi, listen to my explanation..."

He shot Claire Bennett a reproachful look, then immediately took off after her.
