New Evidence

In an instant, quite a few fans left Naomi Pierce's livestream to go watch it.

After watching the surveillance footage, everyone was stunned.

"Holy crap! Th-this can't be possible, right? Claire Bennett didn't push Naomi Pierce?"

"Even though this surveillance camera is pretty far away, it's crystal clear. Naomi Pierce fell on her own. Claire Bennett stood there the entire time and never laid a hand on her at all!"

"But why do I feel like the way Naomi Pierce fell looked kind of deliberate?"

Compared to the uproar online, where the discussion had exploded like a pot boiling over, the atmosphere inside the courtroom was much heavier.

Claire Bennett's lawyer gave his final summary statement.

"My client had no physical contact whatsoever with the plaintiff, so the plaintiff's claim that my client pushed her does not stand. I hope the judge and jury will examine this strictly and not wrong any innocent person!"

The judge looked in Naomi Pierce's direction and asked, "Plaintiff, do you have anything to rebut the evidence presented by the defendant?"

Naomi Pierce clenched her teeth, her expression ugly to the extreme.

Such a carefully laid plan had still failed to bring Claire Bennett down. She was utterly unwilling to accept it. Things had already progressed this far, so how could she possibly let Claire Bennett off?

Naomi Pierce covered her face and started crying pitifully.

Her lawyer was quick on the uptake and immediately said, "Although Claire Bennett did not personally make a move, my client still lost her child because of her. Out of humanitarian concern, Claire Bennett should still provide appropriate compensation."

Hearing such shameless words from them, Claire Bennett let out a mocking laugh.

Even after proving that she hadn't pushed anyone, she still had to pay humanitarian compensation?

Good thing she had made more preparations, or she probably would have been disgusted to death.

Claire Bennett shot her lawyer a look.

The lawyer nodded and said, "Your Honor, I have new evidence here."

Naomi Pierce froze, a flash of shock crossing her eyes, and even forgot to cry.

How did Claire Bennett still have new evidence?

Just how much had she prepared?

The recording was submitted to the judge. This time, the audio was played aloud. It contained a conversation between Dr. Nolan Pierce and Naomi Pierce.

Naomi Pierce had never been pregnant at all!

And Naomi Pierce asking him to forge an injury assessment, among other things, was all revealed word for word in their conversation.

Naomi Pierce's face turned deathly pale, and her whole body trembled uncontrollably.

What was going on... how had Claire Bennett gotten these?

She had no idea when she'd been wiretapped.

No wonder Dr. Nolan Pierce hadn't sent her the injury assessment. Maybe he knew everything was about to come out, so he ran off early!

After hearing the recording, everyone in the courtroom was shocked by the reversal.

If the pregnancy had never existed, then the lawsuit had no basis. And now that it was confirmed Naomi Pierce had deliberately framed someone, things had gotten interesting.

The audience in the livestream also heard the conversation.

After the comments section went quiet for a moment, everyone completely blew up.

"Are you kidding me?! Naomi Pierce wasn't pregnant?"

"Then all this time she's been livestreaming every day, acting all pitiful, wasn't that just wasting my tears?"

"Exactly! I really felt sorry for her, and it turns out she's a liar!"

"I said that surveillance footage looked weird just now. It obviously looked like she fell by herself. So it turns out the whole thing was a nice little self-directed performance!"

The comments section began condemning Naomi Pierce. Everyone felt angry that their sympathy had been exploited and that they'd been deceived.
