Chapter 148
The Designers Report In
Inside Sterling International's office.
Yoyo stood in front of the conference table and respectfully said to Naomi Pierce, "Manager Pierce, all the designers will be reporting in today. There are five designers in total and one design director."
Naomi Pierce had already looked over the designers' information. The design director had been decided by Sterling International's higher-ups, and she had no objections.
A sharp glint spilled into Naomi Pierce's eyes. Next, she was going to build this brand up, and when that time came, she wouldn't have to worry about her identity being exposed.
Suddenly, Naomi Pierce thought of Claire Bennett.
She asked, "How's it going over at Claire Bennett's studio?"
She had already finished Sterling International's mural, so there definitely wouldn't be any work left for her to do next. After Naomi Pierce made her move, Claire Bennett probably wouldn't be able to get any orders and would be left starving.
Naomi Pierce slowly curled her lips, in a good mood.
Yoyo said from the side, "Manager Pierce, our paid posters have already gone to flood her studio. It's complete chaos over there right now. She's probably swamped dealing with us, trying to verify which ones are real customers and which ones are people from us placing malicious orders and then canceling them."
"Very well done." Naomi Pierce slowly curled her lips, in a good mood.
Suddenly, a voice sounded from outside. "The designers are here."
Hearing the voice from outside, Naomi Pierce pulled back her thoughts and stood up.
She straightened her clothes, confidence on her face, and said, "Let's go. We'll head out and get to know the designers."
The jewelry brand Sterling International was launching this time was called Maison Verne Jewelry. In the early stages, processing and production and the like were all handled by Bennett Group, while Sterling International was responsible for trade sales, after-sales service, design, and other services.
Naomi Pierce and Ethan Sterling were both managers of the brand.
The two had separate offices. Ethan Sterling was the marketing and sales manager, while Naomi Pierce was responsible for everything big and small within the brand.
Aside from them, Maison Verne Jewelry's other departments, such as logistics, marketing, and sales, were all already in place. The only thing missing was professional designers.
In the conference room, Naomi Pierce and Ethan Sterling met the five designers.
Four of the designers were world-renowned designers they had recruited, and only Willow Lane had been sent by Bennett Group to assist Maison Verne Jewelry.
After the others learned that Willow Lane was a designer from Bennett Group, they were all very polite to her, which made her expression grow even more aloof.
At this time, one of them asked in confusion, "Manager Pierce, don't we also have a design director? Why haven't we seen them?"
Hearing that, Naomi Pierce raised her wrist and glanced at her watch.
There were still five minutes until the reporting time, so it didn't count as being late.
Naomi Pierce smiled and said, "Someone who can become design director should be outstanding in every respect. It's normal to have some pride and want to make a grand entrance a couple minutes late."
"Manager Pierce, who is our design director? Are they very famous in the industry?"
"Yeah, nothing at all has been revealed. We're really too curious. We don't even know who's going to lead us."
Naomi Pierce smiled helplessly and said, "This time, the design director was arranged by someone else at Sterling International. I don't know who it is either, but we'll find out in a bit."
The design director was too mysterious, making everyone even more curious.
Willow Lane's eyes narrowed slightly. She suddenly thought of Claire Bennett, whom she'd run into downstairs just now. Could it be that she was Maison Verne Jewelry's design director?
Impossible!
With Claire Bennett's reputation, who in the industry would still dare want her? Back at the entrance just now, she'd even seen that Claire Bennett couldn't get in because she didn't have a keycard.
She was probably just trying to slip in and fish in troubled waters, only to get stopped.
Ethan Sterling slipped his phone back into his pocket and said, "Designers, I've already messaged Assistant Reed to ask. He said the design director might be stuck in traffic on the way, so let's wait a bit longer."
Everyone immediately laughed and said it was fine to wait a little.
It had to be said, that design director had really whetted everyone's appetite. People began whispering to each other in discussion.
Just as everyone was murmuring among themselves, the conference room door opened.
