He had accepted Naomi Pierce's invitation only after learning that Queen would be here, which was why he had come to this kind of launch event for a new brand.

In fact, Mr. Mike simply wanted to see Queen again and, while he was at it, buy some of her other jewelry designs.

Molly Lee clenched her fists, her face full of worry. "Director Song, what do we do?"

She had originally thought Claire Bennett really was Queen, but then Yoyo had come over and said those things. Since she had been standing fairly close to Claire Bennett, she had heard everything.

The company had made false claims and had Claire Bennett pretend to be Queen. Now that Mr. Mike, who had met Queen before, had shown up, Claire Bennett would definitely be exposed. It would be humiliating when that happened.

Willow Lane, standing nearby, curled her lips into a smile and sneered, "Oh my, I thought she really was Queen. Turns out she's a fake. You've really got some nerve. Well, now Mr. Mike is here—let's see what you do now!"

The designers who were close to her also started laughing.

"No talent at all, yet she still impersonates someone else. She really isn't afraid of being exposed."

"Walk by the river long enough and you're bound to get your shoes wet. See? Didn't someone just call out the fake? Hahaha..."

"Ugh, this is seriously embarrassing. If it were me, I'd feel like running away."

Hearing those words, Molly Lee became even more panicked. She said in a low voice, "Director Song, why don't you take this chance and leave first?"

Claire Bennett didn't move. After she left, who knew what kind of stories Naomi Pierce would make up about her.

But there was no way Naomi Pierce was going to give Claire Bennett a chance to leave.

She immediately drew everyone's attention back to Claire Bennett.

Naomi Pierce walked over to Claire Bennett and warmly, intimately linked arms with her, smiling as she said, "Claire, Mr. Mike is here. Why aren't you saying hello to him? He even bought jewelry from you last time."

As if pretending not to know Claire Bennett's awkwardness, she directly made everyone think Claire Bennett was Queen.

And that was exactly what everyone believed.

Then Naomi Pierce kept a smile on her face as she waited for Mr. Mike to expose Claire Bennett.

One second, two seconds, three seconds...

Mr. Mike's gaze landed on Claire Bennett, and then he narrowed his eyes.

Seeing that, Naomi Pierce's smile grew even more delighted.

Sure enough, Mr. Mike had noticed something was off. Claire Bennett was dead meat!

Mr. Mike was a little nearsighted. He took out a pair of gold wire-rim glasses and put them on. His vision cleared, and he could see Claire Bennett standing in front of him clearly as well.

A smile curved at the corner of his mouth. He quickly stepped forward and extended his hand to Claire Bennett, saying in a familiar tone, "Miss Queen, we meet again."

Naomi Pierce froze where she stood, staring at the scene before her in disbelief.

Mr. Mike said Claire Bennett was Queen??

It wasn't just Naomi Pierce who was dumbfounded—even Willow Lane and the others stood there stunned for a long time, unable to recover.

Their mouths fell open as they muttered in disbelief, "W-what? Claire Bennett is Queen?"

"Didn't they just say Claire Bennett was fake? Didn't they say it was false advertising? Could this Mr. Mike be fake?"

However, their speculation didn't hold up.

Because the reporters recognized Mr. Mike. When they saw him shaking hands with Claire Bennett, they became even more excited and pressed their camera shutters frantically!

Claire Bennett shook hands with Mr. Mike with calm composure. The rings she sold were extremely valuable, so she naturally chose to conduct the transaction in person. She really had met Mr. Mike before.

Thinking of those two rings, Claire Bennett's mood sank.

She had prepared them for herself and Julian Sterling. At the time, she thought the two of them were going to separate, so she sold the rings. She hadn't expected that now, by a twist of fate, she and Julian Sterling would end up dating with a marriage certificate.

Mr. Mike shook his head. "Miss Queen, I have already given the rings to someone of very distinguished status. He likes them very much. I'm sorry, but I can't sell them back to you."

After hearing that, Claire Bennett's mood dropped.

She couldn't shake the feeling that it was some kind of omen. It was as though if she couldn't buy the rings back, then she and Julian Sterling had no future either.

Off to the side, Naomi Pierce's face shifted between green and white. Watching Claire Bennett talk to Mr. Mike, she dug her fingernails hard into her palms as a wave of fury surged through her.

She had originally wanted Claire Bennett to make a fool of herself and draw everyone's attention for all the wrong reasons.

But not only had nothing happened to her, she was now basking in glory, the center of everyone's attention.

Damn it, Claire Bennett had actually been hiding an identity like this!

Yoyo leaned close to Naomi Pierce's ear and asked in a low voice, "Manager Song, could Claire Bennett really be Queen?"

Hearing Yoyo's words, Naomi Pierce glared at her resentfully. "What is wrong with you? How could you not even find out something like this? Earlier, when you had me make false claims, were you helping Claire Bennett on purpose?!"

Hearing Naomi Pierce's inexplicable scolding, Yoyo felt deeply wronged.

Naomi Pierce herself hadn't known about this, so how could Yoyo possibly have known? Yet now that things had turned out this way, Naomi Pierce was taking it out on her.
