Ethan Sterling Gets Suspended

"Julian, your father has already found a new place again. When the time comes, we just need to find an excuse and we can move in. You should bring your wife over too."

Mother Sterling looked at Julian Sterling and continued with a smile, "Your father put in quite a bit of effort to find that house. It had to be old enough, but not too run-down. It really wasn't easy!"

What happened with Old Lee and Kelsey Lee had caused quite a stir on their side.

Although Father Sterling hadn't punished Old Lee, they heard that he had sent Kelsey Lee abroad. Because of that, Old Lee's wife had been fighting with him nonstop, and Old Lee himself had resigned out of guilt.

They just couldn't conveniently keep using Old Lee's house anymore, so they had no choice but to think of another way and find a new home to move into.

For the sake of her daughter-in-law, Mother Sterling was willing to put up with some inconvenience for a while.

Hearing Mother Sterling's words, Julian Sterling's eyes darkened a little. Claire Bennett still didn't know his identity, and they had finally settled back into living together again.

If he told her rashly, she would probably get angry.

It would be better to wait until their relationship was more stable before telling her.

"I think tomorrow," Mother Sterling decided on her own.

Julian Sterling nodded. "I'll ask Claire when I get back."

While they were talking, a servant suddenly walked in and said to them, "Sir, ma'am, Ethan Sterling is outside asking to see you."

Father Sterling froze for a moment and asked in confusion, "Ethan Sterling? Is that my eldest brother's grandson? Why has he come to Chicago too?"

After William Sterling died young, although Tanya Sterling had continued living with Ethan Sterling in the Sterling family home, she had never achieved anything outstanding and was just an insignificant fringe figure, so Father Sterling naturally couldn't recall her right away.

A mocking smile curled at Julian Sterling's lips. He had just fired Ethan Sterling from Sterling International the day before yesterday, and Ethan Sterling had come right on his heels. Of course he knew exactly what Ethan Sterling had come to ask Father Sterling for.

"Do you even have to ask? Obviously he couldn't make anything of himself in New York, so he came to latch onto my brother!" A sarcastic voice came from the stairway. The group turned to look and saw Ruby Sterling coming downstairs.

She hurried over and sat down in front of them, gossip written all over her face as she said excitedly, "Dad, Mom, you have no idea how disgusting that Ethan Sterling is..."

Next, Ruby Sterling told Father Sterling and Mother Sterling everything about Ethan Sterling and Claire Bennett's past.

She even gave them the full story of how he thought he'd attached himself to a Bennett family heiress, dumped Claire Bennett for that tiny bit of profit, then later discovered he'd been fooled and turned right around to come back looking for Claire Bennett.

After Mother Sterling heard it, anger rose on her face and she snapped, "Outrageous! I never expected our Sterling family to produce such a scumbag. He's brought shame on the Sterling family!"

Ruby Sterling nodded repeatedly in agreement. "Exactly. You don't think everyone is as outstanding as my brother, do you?"

"Thank goodness Claire saw that scumbag for what he really was and wasn't deceived by him. That's how she ended up becoming our daughter-in-law."

"Exactly, exactly."

Seeing Ruby Sterling and Mother Sterling chatting at the side, Father Sterling gave a light cough and said, "All right, we can talk about these things later. He's still waiting outside right now, so let him come in first."

"Mom, Dad, I'm going upstairs first. Remember, no matter what he says later, even if he kneels in front of you begging for forgiveness, you absolutely can't go soft on him."

"Don't worry. We know what we're doing."

With a fawning smile all over his face, Ethan Sterling handed over the gift box in his hands.

Father Sterling and Mother Sterling hadn't had any opinion of Ethan Sterling before, but after hearing about what he'd done just now, they couldn't help looking at him through colored glasses.

Father Sterling was still all right, his emotions unreadable, but Mother Sterling's expression was obviously dark, and she didn't even look directly at Ethan Sterling and Tanya Sterling.
