After weighing things in his heart for a moment, Kenneth Kane looked at Julian Sterling ingratiatingly and said with a smile, "Mr. Sterling, this matter is completely a misunderstanding. It's true that Ian Walsh is my son-in-law, but it is absolutely impossible for him to have any kind of improper relationship with your wife."

He continued with absolute certainty, "If there really is, then I'll throw him out on the street!"

Marcus Reed hadn't expected Kenneth Kane to be so ruthless. Originally, they had thought that coming here would get Kenneth Kane to step in and have Ian Walsh clear this matter up, but unexpectedly, for the sake of his own interests, Kenneth Kane actually wanted to cut ties with Ian Walsh.

But handling it this way was even better.

While they were talking, the conference room door was suddenly pushed open.

They saw a heavyset woman walk in. "Daddy, I heard an important guest came to the company today?"

This was Kenneth Kane's daughter, Jasmine Kane. She was usually spoiled rotten, so much so that she could barge in rudely even while Kenneth Kane was discussing matters with an honored guest.

When Jasmine Kane saw the powerfully imposing Julian Sterling sitting there, her eyes instantly lit up.

This man was the most handsome, most perfect man she had ever seen. Every feature on his face looked like God's finest work. She stared at him blankly, simply unable to look away.

When Kenneth Kane saw Jasmine Kane staring so brazenly at Julian Sterling, afraid she might provoke Julian Sterling's displeasure, he hurried over, grabbed her, and reminded her, "Jasmine, this is Mr. Sterling. We can't afford to provoke him."

Upon hearing that he was from the Sterling family, Jasmine Kane immediately put away the thoughts in her heart.

"Daddy, what are the Sterlings here for?"

At the mention of this matter, Kenneth Kane became even angrier. He gritted his teeth and said, "Who else but that shameless Ian Walsh? He actually went behind our backs and pestered Mrs. Sterling, and now they've come to our door!"

"What!" Jasmine Kane exploded at once.

She rolled up her sleeves and said furiously, "That coward actually lied to me about going on a business trip, and behind my back got mixed up with another woman? Just watch me beat him half to death!"

When he heard Jasmine Kane say "got mixed up," Kenneth Kane was afraid Julian Sterling might hear it the wrong way, so he quickly corrected her: "Not got mixed up with—pestered!"

Jasmine Kane's face darkened with rage.

Whether it was pestering or anything else, the bottom line was that Ian Walsh being involved with a woman was nothing good.

Back when the Kane family had fallen on hard times, and with her looks making it hard to find any good men, she had settled for Ian Walsh, a man with nothing to his name. Now that the Kane family had risen again, how could she possibly tolerate Ian Walsh's betrayal any longer?

The more Jasmine Kane thought about it, the angrier she became. Gritting her teeth, she said, "Where is he right now? I'm going to deal with him!"
