Claire Bennett pushed open the door and saw that Julian Sterling, who had still been asleep when she got up earlier, was already awake.

Without waiting for Claire Bennett to speak, Julian Sterling said, "Have you finished packing?"
"Mm." Claire Bennett came back to herself and asked, "The maid said you're going to New York with me? Didn't you say you had a meeting?"
Julian Sterling curled his lips into a smile, took Claire Bennett's hand, and said softly, "The Bennett family is a dangerous place for you. How could I let you go into danger alone? Of course I'm going with you. No matter what happens, don't be afraid. You still have me behind you."
After hearing Julian Sterling's words, Claire Bennett's eyes turned a little sore.

"Then what about your meeting?"
Julian Sterling smiled. "I've already moved the meeting to New York. After I accompany you to the birthday banquet, I'll hold the meeting in New York."
He paused for a moment. "It's just that by then, you'll probably have to accompany me to the meeting."
Claire Bennett nodded immediately. "I can go with you!"
"Then let's head out."

That was what Claire Bennett was thinking too. She thought of Old Mr. Sterling's temper, which was almost the same as her own grandfather's. Maybe the two of them had gotten into a fight, and that was why they had cut off contact for life.
She reached out and wrapped her arms around Julian Sterling's waist, then said somewhat reluctantly, "If the Bennett family and the Sterling family really are enemies, would you break up with me?"
