Claire Bennett listened to Laura Bennett's words, and her eyes darkened.

She had never liked her stepmother and stepsister to begin with. Now that she could make them unhappy, naturally she wasn't going to refuse the favor, so she accepted Laura Bennett's kindness.

Laura Bennett's eyes shifted, and she sneered darkly, "Dad! Isn't it just because Third Brother's company is doing well now that you want to hand the Bennett family over to him? We're not that bad either!"
"Exactly. Besides, everybody knows his company was started with Third Sister-in-law's dowry back then. Part of it doesn't belong to him, and most of it is also Third Sister-in-law's! How could it possibly be anyone else's turn to sit back and enjoy the benefits!"
After saying that, Laura Bennett's eyes seemed to drift meaningfully toward Hannah Bennett and Ava Bennett.
