Julian Sterling Doesn't Believe Her

She grabbed Julian Sterling's hand and pushed it away, saying a little sullenly, "Everything I said is the truth. If you don't believe me, then forget it."

Claire Bennett was furious inside. She felt that Julian Sterling didn't trust her at all. Megan Sterling was clearly trying to hurt her, yet he was making excuses for her. Was it because Megan Sterling was part of the Sterling family, his cousin, so he was taking her side?

She was Julian Sterling's wife. Didn't he have even the slightest bit of trust in her?

Seeing that Claire Bennett was angry, Julian Sterling let out a somewhat helpless sigh and said, "Claire, you may have just woken up, so don't get too worked up. Get some proper rest."

Knock knock. There was a knock on the door. Julian Sterling lifted his eyes toward the doorway. "What is it?"

"Young Master Julian, the old master asked for you and Miss Song to come over."

Julian Sterling said, "Got it."

The voice outside slowly moved away. Julian Sterling turned back to look at Claire Bennett. Seeing the expression on her face, he felt that her emotions weren't in a good state right now. If she went before Old Master Sterling, it might trigger some kind of conflict.

Whatever it was, he could just handle it himself.

Julian Sterling said softly, "Claire, rest here first. I'll go talk to Grandpa properly."

With that, he got to his feet.

Only after the sound of the door closing did Claire Bennett come back to herself.

The more she thought about it, the more something felt off. Why had Megan Sterling done that just now? She had said Claire was a jinx. Could it be that she hadn't framed her for Ethan Sterling's sake? It really left Claire unable to make sense of it.

Julian Sterling had left the room to see Old Master Sterling. Sitting in the room knowing nothing at all really put her at too much of a disadvantage.

After thinking it over, Claire Bennett still couldn't resist throwing off the covers and getting out of bed.

He did not believe that Claire Bennett would do something like that to Megan Sterling in the Sterling family home.

Megan Sterling began to sob and said chokingly, "Cousin, everything I'm saying is true. Claire Bennett pushed me into the water. I really didn't expect her to react so strongly to Ethan Sterling. Could it be that she still can't let go of him?"

Now that Megan Sterling had brought it up, it instantly exposed Claire Bennett and Ethan Sterling's former relationship in front of everyone.
