Chapter 495

Mind Your Place from Now On

O'Hare International Airport.

Molly Lee and Sienna Shaw were now in charge of Maison Verne's affairs. After Claire Bennett attended the competition with Nia yesterday, she went back to the place where she and Julian Sterling used to live, packed her things, and today she was flying back to New York.

"Manager Song, we really can't bear to see you go."

Molly Lee's eyes were red as she held Claire Bennett's hand, her face full of reluctance to part.

Claire Bennett couldn't help laughing when she saw her like this. She said softly, "You're making it sound like I'm never coming back. It's just that now that I've returned to work at Bennett Group, my main focus will be there from now on. I won't just abandon this place either."

Hearing Claire Bennett's words, Molly Lee smiled a little sheepishly.

She was just being a little emotional.

Sienna Shaw patted Molly Lee on the shoulder and said, "Alright, from now on we'll have to keep a closer eye on things here for Manager Song."

Claire Bennett glanced at the time. "It's about time. I'm going in first. Take care of yourselves, and if anything comes up, remember to call me."

With the plane's audio announcement sounding, the aircraft slowly took off.

Claire Bennett sat by the window, looking at the scenery outside, a trace of emotion in her eyes.

Although the reason she had originally come to Chicago was Ethan Sterling, she had now gained other unexpected things, and had even found the man she would spend the rest of her life with. Wasn't that a kind of good fortune too?

A long while later, the plane landed at O'Hare International Airport.

After Claire Bennett picked up her luggage, she dragged it outside. As she walked out, she saw a familiar figure: Julian Sterling.

He was waiting at the arrivals exit.

Julian Sterling's tall, upright figure stood out especially in the crowd, drawing quite a few glances from the people nearby, and it also made Claire Bennett spot him at first sight. Surprise appeared on her face.

After freezing for a few seconds, she ran toward him with her suitcase.

At that moment, a figure suddenly appeared beside her and grabbed her wrist.

Claire Bennett was startled and hurriedly turned to look. She hadn't expected to see someone so unexpected—the person grabbing her was actually Ethan Sterling!

Why was Ethan Sterling haunting her again and showing up here?

Her expression darkened abruptly. Then when she turned to look at Julian Sterling again, she found that he had already seen her.

Julian Sterling walked over with a cold expression and pulled Claire Bennett over. In an instant, she was back in Julian Sterling's arms, wrapped all around in a feeling of safety, and only then did Claire Bennett's tense mood relax.

"Don't touch her again." Julian Sterling warned coldly.

Looking at Julian Sterling in front of him, a shadow gathered in Ethan Sterling's eyes, surging with resentment and unwillingness.

But Julian Sterling had never regarded Ethan Sterling as worth noticing. Whether in identity or status, Ethan Sterling was no match for him at all.

The only reason he had not dealt with him completely was out of consideration for the fact that they both bore the surname Sterling.

Unexpectedly, that had created such a huge hidden danger, allowing him to come pester Claire Bennett.

Seeing Claire Bennett snatched back by Julian Sterling, Ethan Sterling clenched his hand tightly, forcing down what he felt inside.

"Claire and I..."

Before he could finish, Julian Sterling cut him off. He sneered, "Ethan Sterling, Claire is your aunt now. From now on, mind your place and don't do things you shouldn't."

Just that one simple identity was enough to crush Ethan Sterling.

Even if he wanted to bring up the past, it would still make him look completely unjustified and improper!

"Claire, let's go." Julian Sterling took the suitcase from Claire Bennett's hand and turned to leave with her.

Ethan Sterling watched their departing backs, a dark look rising in his eyes. He kept his fists clenched, and only left after a long while.
