Julian Sterling's Thoughts

Julian Sterling merely listened in silence, and then said only that one sentence. He looked up at Old Mr. Sterling. "Grandpa, thank you very much for raising me..."

Hearing Julian Sterling's words, Old Mr. Sterling's heart lurched, and he vaguely had a bad feeling.

Old Mr. Sterling had originally thought Julian Sterling was going to argue with him for Claire Bennett's sake.

"Bro, you absolutely can't do anything rash! If something really happens to you, what are we supposed to do?"

Ruby Sterling rushed over and hugged Julian Sterling. "We can keep trying to win Claire back. Don't do anything rash because of this!"

Julian Sterling pushed Ruby Sterling away and said flatly, "I'm not doing anything rash."

He merely wanted to give up his right to inherit the Sterling family and start over on his own, even though that would be extremely difficult for him.

"Huh?" Ruby Sterling was dumbfounded. She muttered, "Weren't you unable to take it after Claire left?"

Old Mrs. Sterling let out a heavy sigh, feeling that for things to have come to this because of Claire Bennett was truly frustrating and helpless.
