If You Want to Thank Someone, Thank Julian Sterling
Claire Bennett made an appointment to meet Landon West at a restaurant.
She brought Molly Lee with her too, so that if anything unexpected happened, at least there would be someone to discuss it with.
Landon West sat in the booth in the private room, dressed sharply in a suit. He seemed to have already seen Claire Bennett's photo beforehand, and when he saw her, he waved at her.
Claire Bennett and Molly Lee walked over and sat down across from Landon West. "Mr. West, hello. I'm Claire Bennett."
Landon West quietly sized Claire Bennett up.
He had seen Claire Bennett in a photo before, and even then had thought she was quite a pretty girl.
He hadn't expected that seeing her in person, she would look even better. After all, a living, moving person had a kind of vivid, breathtaking charm. No wonder she could make a thousand-year iceberg like Julian Sterling fall for her.
Even though he was thinking all this inside, Landon West didn't show it. He smiled and said, "Miss Bennett, I'm truly sorry about what happened before. But because I wasn't at the company, I didn't supervise the employees well enough either. I hope you're not angry. To make up for it, I can increase our investment in you. This is the contract I drew up. You can take a look."
After speaking, Landon West pushed a set of documents in his hand toward Claire Bennett.
Claire Bennett took it suspiciously, then opened it and began reading. When she saw the contents of the contract clearly, she was completely stunned.

Landon West laughed when he heard that. "I'm not worried about that. I believe you can definitely do it."
In reality, even if Claire Bennett lost money, Julian Sterling would cover for it, so what was he afraid of!
"Miss Bennett, if there's nothing else, then go ahead and sign the contract." Landon West looked at Claire Bennett and smiled lightly.
Claire Bennett carefully reviewed the contract again and found that there really were no problems, so she finally let out a breath of relief. Only then did she pick up the pen and sign her name.
Molly Lee leaned close to Claire Bennett's ear and whispered, "Manager Bennett, I never thought we'd actually get Mr. West's investment. Then for the launch event a week from now, we won't have to worry about making fools of ourselves."
Thinking of Ava Bennett's smug expression, Claire Bennett narrowed her eyes.
If she remembered correctly, Landon West had just said that he had already fired the person who made the decision on his own. So would the investment that manager had promised Ava Bennett still be honored?
After hesitating for a moment, Claire Bennett still couldn't help asking, "Mr. West, I'd like to ask—just now you said you've already fired that person, so as for the investment he promised Ava Bennett..."
Landon West naturally knew what Claire Bennett was worried about. He curled his lips into a smile and said, "Miss Bennett, don't worry. That employee is no longer on staff at Hudson Capital, and his previous work has already been handed over properly. Hudson Capital has only ever invested in you. We have never invested in Ava Bennett."
The moment Claire Bennett heard Landon West's words, she instantly understood what he meant.
She looked at Landon West gratefully and said respectfully, "Mr. West, I didn't expect you to help me like this. Another day, let me treat you to a meal and properly thank you."
Landon West gave a light cough and didn't dare steal Julian Sterling's credit. He said directly, "Actually, you don't need to thank me. If you want to thank someone, thank Julian Sterling. After all, he's the one who asked me to help."
