Ethan Sterling Is the Bennett Family's Son-in-Law
New York, the Sterling family home.
Julian Sterling cast a cool glance at his phone. The screen showed a message Ruby Sterling had sent a minute earlier. He locked the screen and slipped the phone into his pocket.
He changed into an expensive suit, instantly turning back into Julian Sterling, the distinguished and extraordinary president of Sterling Group.
Just as he was about to head out, the old master of the Sterling family came out and asked, "Julian, did you forget that you're supposed to meet Miss Hayes today?"
"I'm going back to Chicago."
"Nonsense!" The old master of the Sterling family darkened. He let out a cold snort and said, "I don't care what earthshaking business you have today. Cancel all of it. You must go meet Miss Hayes!"
After saying that, he turned to the butler at his side, Uncle Ming, and said, "Uncle Ming, go with Julian."
Julian Sterling's brows knitted tightly.
Having Uncle Ming accompany him meant the old master wanted Uncle Ming to keep an eye on him.
Uncle Ming was the old master's right-hand man. He had never been one to show mercy and only took orders from the old master.
Uncle Ming stepped forward and said to Julian Sterling with a respectful smile, "Young Master Julian, let's go."

Inside the castle ballroom, glasses clinked as guests toasted one another. The atmosphere was lively and cheerful.
Ethan Sterling held a wineglass and chatted enthusiastically with several presidents from the top tier of the business world.
Looking at the high-status executives who had come to attend his engagement banquet, Ethan Sterling felt as though he were standing at the peak of power, like tomorrow he would be able to kick Julian Sterling aside and take control of the Sterling family with his own hands.
"Manager Sterling, congratulations on your engagement."
"You're too kind, President Carter. Sorry I haven't hosted you better." Ethan Sterling reached out to shake his hand.
At that moment, someone asked, "By the way, Manager Sterling, President Sterling is coming today too, right?"
