Chapter 644

Sure Enough, Julian Sterling Was Tempted

Harold Parker was fairly familiar with Julian Sterling by now. He brought Madeline Parker over and said with a smile, "Mr. Sterling, it's been a while. How have things been going lately?"

Julian Sterling still had no idea that he had already become Harold Parker's top choice for a son-in-law. In his eyes, Harold Parker was still a potential future client for cooperation, so his attitude was fairly polite and respectful.

"Mr. Parker, the company has been developing well lately. Thank you for your concern."

"Is that so? That's good. I've always thought very highly of you and felt that you're extremely capable. You'll definitely have a promising future. If you run into any problems later on, you can come to me. I'll definitely give you my full support."

"Thank you, Mr. Parker."

After the two exchanged pleasantries, the atmosphere was harmonious and pleasant.

When Madeline Parker had seen Julian Sterling from a distance just now, she had already felt that he was strikingly handsome, the ideal man in any woman's eyes. Now that she was seeing him up close, she became even more infatuated with him.

A shy look appeared on her face as she glanced at Harold Parker somewhat anxiously.

She wanted him to get to the point as quickly as possible and ask Julian Sterling what he thought so they could see where things stood.

Harold Parker had long since noticed Madeline Parker's anxious manner, and he couldn't help laughing. He had found so many men for her lately, yet there wasn't a single one she had liked. And now Julian Sterling had actually gotten her worked up?

It seemed that Madeline Parker really did like Julian Sterling a lot.

Harold Parker smiled and said to Julian Sterling, "Right, I haven't introduced her to you yet. This is my daughter, Madeline. She's probably about six years younger than you, and she only came back two years ago after graduating from Oss Business School overseas."

Julian Sterling's gaze fell on Madeline Parker. Oss Business School was one of the top business schools in the world, and the people who graduated from there were almost never lacking in ability.

And the cost there was extremely high, not somewhere ordinary people could afford to attend.

Julian Sterling suddenly remembered that his company had been expanding its business recently and he wanted to find someone capable. He had looked into a man who had graduated from Oss Business School and wanted to hire him into the company with a high salary.

Usually, most people at Oss Business School came from wealthy families and went back to inherit the family business afterward, but that man was different.

He came from an average family background and had gotten into Oss Business School purely on his own ability.

Every year, Oss Business School had quite a few people like that, but most were scared off by the sky-high tuition and other expenses. Very few ordinary people were able to persist in studying there all the way through graduation.

But that man had stuck it out and had even achieved outstanding results.

So Julian Sterling was very interested in him and wanted to invite him to take a position at the company. For him, that would be a major asset.

It was just a pity that no one knew where the man had gone after graduation. Julian had Marcus Reed investigate for a long time, but there had been no trace of him. Now that he heard Madeline Parker had graduated from Oss Business School, he couldn't help feeling curious.

He was even thinking to himself whether he might be able to find even a tiny clue through Madeline Parker.

Julian Sterling asked, "Miss Parker, since you graduated from Oss Business School, do you happen to know Ding Lin?"

The moment his words fell, Madeline Parker's and Harold Parker's expressions changed slightly.

Very quickly, Harold Parker said with a smile, "When Madeline was studying, she didn't interact much with her classmates, so she probably doesn't know this person. Why does Mr. Sterling ask?"

When Madeline Parker heard Julian Sterling's question, a trace of unnaturalness flashed through her eyes.

She smiled and said, "He was my classmate."

Harold Parker's brows furrowed tightly, and a flash of displeasure passed through his eyes as he shot Madeline Parker a hard glare.

Julian Sterling's eyes darkened, and interest appeared in them as he said, "Miss Parker, could you give me his contact information? There are some things I'd like to discuss with him."

Madeline Parker smiled. "Sure, but he's probably changed his number by now."

Hearing Madeline Parker's words, Julian Sterling was not disappointed. He felt that having some kind of lead was still good. Fortunately, he had come to this investment fair today. Although it might not necessarily do the company any good, being able to find Ding Lin would still be a good thing.

Harold Parker was somewhat dissatisfied that their conversation kept revolving around that Ding Lin. He smiled and said, "Mr. Sterling, lately I've been thinking of finding a reliable match for Madeline. If you know any good candidates, you can introduce one to me."

Now that he had steered the conversation in this direction, if Julian Sterling really had that kind of interest, he ought to follow up on it, right?
