After a series of examinations, the doctor told Ava Bennett that the baby in her belly was perfectly fine, and she let out a sigh of relief.
This child was her entire bargaining chip now. If the baby was gone, then there definitely wouldn't be any further contact with Ethan Sterling. Ethan had been extremely cold toward her lately; he hadn't called her in days, and she had no idea what he was doing.
Thinking of this, Ava Bennett took out her phone and called Ethan Sterling.

"Ava Bennett, what do you want now? I've been very busy lately. I don't have time to deal with you."

Hearing Ethan Sterling's cold words, Ava Bennett's eyes quickly reddened.
She was carrying their baby now, and this was how cold he was to her? He had absolutely no desire to hear anything she had to say.
"Ethan, I'm already preg—" Before Ava Bennett could finish, Ethan Sterling cut her off directly and said impatiently, "Enough. I have important things to do. Don't affect me. I'm hanging up."
