The Bennett Family Will Be Here Any Minute

Suppressing her anger, she walked over to Ethan Sterling, grabbed him, and asked, "Ethan, when exactly are your future in-laws coming? Don't tell me they're not coming today? Do you see how everyone has rushed over to Julian Sterling? Have they all forgotten that today is your engagement party?"

If the Bennett family didn't come to today's wedding banquet, then everything would have been for nothing.

Ethan Sterling's father had died young. As a widow and her orphaned son, they had no one to rely on in the Sterling family, no backing at all, so they could only find another way.

Naomi Pierce shot Luna Brooks and Meng Lifen a look, and the two immediately understood. With ill intent, they walked toward Claire Bennett.

Claire Bennett was still surrounded by a group of rich young ladies. Without changing her expression, she shot Ruby Sterling a look, signaling her to stop these annoying women for her.

After seeing Ruby Sterling respond, Claire Bennett casually said, "I'm going to the restroom."

Hearing that, Ruby Sterling quickly stepped forward and said to the young ladies, "If there's anything you want to ask, you can ask me. I'm closest to Claire."

While Ruby Sterling blocked those pampered heiresses, Claire Bennett quietly slipped out.

Luna Brooks and Meng Lifen walked up to Claire Bennett and looked at her maliciously. "Claire Bennett."

Seeing the three women appear out of nowhere, Claire Bennett's brows drew tightly together.

What lousy timing. They were here to pick a fight?

Naomi Pierce followed slowly behind Luna Brooks and Meng Lifen. Her face was full of helplessness, as though she wanted to stop them from making trouble but had failed to hold them back.

Luna Brooks looked Claire Bennett up and down with contempt in her eyes.

She crossed her arms and snorted coldly. "Claire Bennett, how do you still have the nerve to come to Naomi and Ethan Sterling's engagement party? After doing something like that, aren't you afraid you'll be struck by lightning?"

Meng Lifen also said with righteous indignation, "Exactly. Your skin is seriously thick. President Sterling was fooled by you, wasn't he? I think we should expose all those filthy things you've done and let President Sterling see just how shameless you really are!"

Looking at these two women who had deliberately come to start trouble, Claire Bennett let out a cold laugh and asked in return, "Filthy things? I'd love to know what filthy things I've done."

"Claire Bennett! You're still playing dumb? Does President Sterling know you're screwing around with a manager at Sterling International? And here you are pretending to be innocent. It's absolutely disgusting!"
