Aria's audit documented the exact abuse path before the first video appeared.
Gavin had marked the risk "commercially inconvenient" and removed her approval authority. The signed history established authorship of the safeguard and his decision to bypass it.
The city froze Verity's contract and referred procurement evidence. The platform preserved paid-account records and issued a scoped transparency report. Petra and Dean entered separate cooperation processes; neither received innocence for becoming useful.
Lila's private footage remained sealed. Victims named in Petra's client list received confidential notice before any publication. Mei's campaign survived without requiring her to prove the contents of a synthetic scene.
Jonah attached his old failure to the new investigation and did not ask Lila to call that repair. He offered Aria a producer credit and final-source authority on the published case.
"Independent authority," she corrected.
"Agreed."
They left the hearing after the screens had stopped showing her face. Outside, reporters asked whether the internet now believed her.
"Belief is not the standard," Aria said. "Authorship, evidence, and consequence are."
Her answer spread more slowly than the lie. It also carried her real voice, full context, and a record no executive could edit after release.
The transparency report opened with the network's clients.
Each victim controlled what happened to their name next.
