Chapter 7
Consent Is Not a Footnote
The archive intruder copied nothing. The access was designed to make Jonah look willing to expose Lila again.
He released his own access history to the independent lawyer and stepped off the investigation's editorial chain.
"You still have the live slot," Aria said.
"You and Lila control what enters it."
Lila refused any visual from the abusive clip. Instead, she produced the original platform receipt, sponsor demand, and timestamped message Petra had sent before release. The nonvisual chain proved coordination without requiring the public to inspect her body.
Aria added the receipt to a scoped evidence package. Jonah sat across the studio, hands visible, waiting for instructions rather than manufacturing intimacy from trust.
"You should have done this three years ago," Lila told him.
"Yes."
No apology asked her to reduce the answer.
Petra sent a new message: Gavin queued Mei's video for the six-minute window before the hearing. I want protection before it runs.
Attached was a render receipt signed with Aria's account token.
The campaign had moved from stealing her face to stealing her authorship.
