After transfer had no date, no time, no signer.

Mara had always used real ink for original notes, even when rushed.

This one was either machine generated or post-process.

At 10:00, they received access to the transfer server logs.

One process at 11:58 had rewritten the field signature_present from true to false.

Elise asked for the user.

"No user associated," the admin said.

Priya discovered the system user came from a local terminal in the annex building.

Inside the annex, they found an open terminal.

One cached shell session still active.

On-screen, a script with one command:

Bell read it.

Elise copied it into her notebook and called the hearing office.

The room was still.

At the end of the day, the form was submitted with no ink, no stamp, and no person.

The court accepted it to review under emergency continuity.

Elise whispered, "Emergency is never the issue. No one admitted to being the author."

When she got home, Priya sent the final image from the terminal:

An old mug with a crack, beside the keyboard.

No fingerprints.

Only one fingerprint in the tea.

Elise smiled.
