The latest map they found was not open.
It was a closed-room map with a lock icon and no legend.
Priya scanned all layers and found one hidden annotation:
Hallway 6 is closed for witness movement only.
Elise said, "Witness movement is the most expensive kind of movement in court."
Bell checked the city permits and found one temporary closure permit.
It had a different date from the hearing day.
The permit holder had no legal person ID.
They went to Hallway 6 at the listed time.
The hall had a mirrored door and a faded carpet.
At the far end, no exit.
But when Elise opened the door, a room appeared.
Not in the map.
One low desk, one camera, one speaker, one manual recorder.
Priya opened the recorder and found only one phrase copied from earlier:
Keep your names together.
Elise checked the door lock history.
Two commands: close at 11:00, open at 11:07.
Both from the same unknown profile used on the closed hallway map.
The hall had been intentionally hidden from visitors and from legal indexing.
At court, this room was presented as "unrelated infrastructure."
Bell asked to hear the exact phrase in silence.
Elise played it once.
The prosecutor said nothing.
The judge asked for temporary injunction against closure.
At home, Bell found one last line in the permit PDF:
If hallways close, doors can be read as witnesses.
Elise put the map under a glass and wrote:
No hallway is closed when process can still pass through it.
