The new archive had no hidden rooms.
It was built in a public library with glass walls, open hours, and patient-controlled access.

Claire helped write the first consent form.
It began with one sentence.

Mara stood outside the glass.
“You are not entering?” Claire asked.

Claire nodded.
The new archive accepted delay as a valid status.
Mara's file became pending.
No one forced it open.
