Chapter 6
A Consent Form in Claire's Hand
Shaw convened a press conference and presented Claire as a distressed architect attacking a clinical study she had designed.
Claire interrupted with the original form. The signature was hers; the timestamp was not. Building access logs placed her under sedation at the clinic when the form claimed she signed at home.
The proof cleared her memory but worsened the case: someone inside the clinic had used a biometric pen trained on her hand.
Daniel recognized the procurement code. His firm had purchased it.
He had known about the device for months.
