The Life No One Could Curate
The court rejected both institutions that claimed authority without consent.
Martin's email could not bind Celia to the house sale. The museum's equipment did not override the contributors' releases, which reserved ownership and withdrawal rights. Rowan's authorised footage proved Farah had intended a naming-rights transfer inconsistent with the proposal.
The buyer's sale was void. The museum withdrew its claim before judgment.
Outside court, cameras waited for Celia to announce that she had saved her home.
"We are selling it," she said.
Martin turned, surprised. She had not consulted him.
Celia stopped.
"I want to sell it," she corrected. "Do you?"
He considered the question in public, where once he would have protected them from awkwardness with a quick answer.
"Yes. On terms we choose together."
They reached the Marlowe twelve minutes before the doors opened.
