Chapter 180
You've Graduated
Thinking of the chaos at the last engagement party, Ethan Sterling's face darkened so much it looked like water could drip from it.
Claire Bennett had brought a fake stand-in to steal the spotlight, and even released that fake video, turning his entire engagement party into a complete mess.
Before, Ethan Sterling had thought Claire Bennett did that because she couldn't accept it and wanted to win him back.
Later, he took the initiative to show goodwill and gave her a chance, but Claire Bennett rejected his kindness again and again. She must have latched onto Cameron Quinn and already looked down on him now.
Naomi Pierce's expression was gloomy too. Her engagement party had already been ruined, and the wedding was her only chance to turn things around. Nothing could go wrong again.
Everything had to be stopped at the source!
Naomi Pierce said, "Ethan, let's hurry and think of a way to sabotage Claire Bennett's relationship with that man!"
Ethan Sterling's face was icy, but he did not refute Naomi Pierce's words.
Seeing him fall silent, a calculating glint flashed through Naomi Pierce's eyes, and she quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
She knew Ethan Sterling had already agreed to help her and make a move against Claire Bennett.
Their wedding was set for a month later. This time, even more manpower and resources had been invested in it, more distinguished guests had been invited, and a very thorough plan had been made.
Ethan Sterling clearly intended to recover from the failure of last time.
Originally, that should have been a good thing.
However, the most troublesome matter was that before their wedding, Maison Verne was going to hold a new product launch.
She had previously been forced to promise Ethan Sterling that on the day of the launch, she would bring Victor Bennett over, but she still had not thought of a way to solve it. Fortunately, Claire Bennett had popped up on her own, giving Ethan Sterling the perfect target and shifting his attention for a while.
While Ethan Sterling was busy dealing with Claire Bennett, she could also hurry and think of a way to get through this crisis.
She had heard that years ago, the eldest miss of the Bennett family had quarreled with Victor Bennett and run away from home, and there had been no word of her all these years. No one knew where she was now. If she could be found, then there might still be another way.
She had to secretly send people to look for that eldest Bennett daughter!
At this moment, inside the Sterling International president's office.
Julian Sterling was on the phone with Ruby Sterling, and Ruby's voice came from the other end.
"Bro, bro... what expression did Claire have when she got your gift? Was she at least just a tiny little bit moved? Or did she thank you?"
Julian Sterling lifted his brows slightly. "I don't know."
Everything he had sent over the past two days had been Ruby Sterling's ideas. He had no idea where she got so many tricks from; every day she came up with some new little thing.
As for whether Claire Bennett had been moved, he didn't know.
But he did know that unlike last time, Claire Bennett had not refused the gifts. Instead, she had accepted everything he sent, and that should count as good feedback.
Ruby Sterling sighed somewhat dejectedly. "What do you mean, you don't know? Couldn't you have someone keep an eye on her? That way you'd be able to keep track of everything she does at any time."
"No need." Julian Sterling refused.
"Why not? There's no way I can stay by Claire's side and watch her all the time. What's so bad about you arranging for someone? Why not?" Ruby Sterling muttered in confusion.
Julian Sterling leaned his tall body back into the sofa. A trace of softness spilled into his eyes. After a pause, he slowly said, "How is having someone by her side any different from monitoring her? I want to give her freedom."
"Oh! My God, that's just way too sweet!" Ruby Sterling clutched her chest, looking like she'd been fed several tons of romance, and said with a mix of relief and satisfaction, "I hereby declare that you've graduated!"
With Julian Sterling talking like that, there was no need for her to teach him anymore. He could crush every other guy with ease, okay.
Julian Sterling slowly curled his lips into a smile.
Before he had won Claire Bennett over, he still couldn't count as truly graduated.
