Ava Bennett Cut Off Her Resources
When Claire Bennett saw Olivia Lawson and Ava Bennett whispering to each other, a dark look flashed through her eyes.
Those two were definitely plotting how to mess with her again.
She wasn't someone easy to bully either. Claire Bennett suppressed her thoughts and waited quietly, eyes lowered and expression composed.
Very soon, a man wearing glasses came out of the office. He was a manager at Hudson Capital named Jason Chang, and Ava Bennett had come to him for help this time.
Jason Chang had dealt with Bennett Group before. After meeting Ava Bennett, he had been pursuing her ever since, but Ava Bennett's ambitions were sky-high, so naturally she had no interest in a man like him.
Still, she had never clearly rejected Jason Chang. She had kept stringing him along, and now she was taking this opportunity to use him to suppress Claire Bennett.
A moment ago, Olivia Lawson had already spoken to Jason Chang and told him that this time they would make Claire Bennett look bad.
Jason Chang looked at Ava Bennett with gentle eyes and said, "Ava, you're here."
Ava Bennett nodded lightly and revealed a small smile.
Seeing that, a mesmerized look appeared in Jason Chang's eyes, and he stared at her fixedly for a while.
When she saw the two of them greeting each other, Molly Lee leaned close to Claire Bennett's ear and whispered, "Manager Bennett, Ava Bennett actually knows someone here at Hudson Capital. Do we have no hope now?"
Lately there had been no sign that Ava Bennett was planning to hold a launch event, but just when Claire Bennett was about to hold one, Ava Bennett suddenly said she wanted to hold one too, and now she had come to fight them for resources again.
It was obvious she was targeting them.
Molly Lee felt that maybe this one investment, their only hope, was going to fall through too.
Claire Bennett's eyes darkened, and she lowered her lashes slightly. She had more or less guessed that maybe there was no hope this time either, but it wasn't the very last moment yet, so she still couldn't give up.

After pausing for a moment, he continued, "Two departments from Bennett Group came today. Mr. West can only invest in one, and that will be Ava Bennett. My apologies to everyone else."
Jason Chang had actually announced it outright: Ava Bennett had obtained Landon West's investment.
Ava Bennett laughed softly.
At her side, Olivia Lawson shot Claire Bennett a smug look and sneered, "Claire Bennett came running over all eager for investment, but looks like it was just a wasted trip after all. Now you can only leave with your tail between your legs."
After saying that, she looked at Claire Bennett and said, "Claire Bennett, why don't you think about the resources Manager Ava Bennett introduced to you before?"
Molly Lee was so angry her face turned green. Gritting her teeth, she said, "You deliberately cut off our investment. What's there to be so proud of?"
Olivia Lawson covered her mouth and laughed. "Even if we did it on purpose, that's our ability. If you're really that capable, then steal it back."
Ava Bennett deliberately stopped Olivia Lawson and said softly, "All right, let's not make fun of my sister. Maybe before, she couldn't bring herself to accept the resources I offered because of her pride, but now she has no choice but to accept them, right?"
Watching the two of them get carried away with triumph, Molly Lee was so angry she wanted to stand up for Claire Bennett, but Claire Bennett held her back. "Let's go. If a dog bites you, you can't bite it back."
After saying that, Claire Bennett stood up and pulled Molly Lee away.
After Claire Bennett left, Ava Bennett belatedly remembered something.
What did Claire Bennett mean by that? Was she saying she was a dog?
Just then, Jason Chang walked up to Ava Bennett and said, "Ava, I've already taken care of what you wanted me to do. Are you free tomorrow? How about we go have a candlelight dinner together?"
Although she was a little unwilling to go, Jason Chang really had done her a huge favor.
Ava Bennett said reluctantly, "All right then. I'll have dinner with you tomorrow."
