"Is that really Claire Bennett?" Another woman hurried over to Claire Bennett.
One was named Luna Brooks, and the other was named Meng Lifen. The two of them spent plenty of time in the office sucking up to Naomi Pierce. They were Naomi Pierce's lackeys, so of course they knew Claire Bennett existed.
Today, Claire Bennett had dressed herself up, and they didn't recognize her at first glance.
Now that they saw the perfectly fitting gown she was wearing, their eyes were filled with stunned disbelief.
Usually, this girl dressed very plainly, and when she painted she was always covered in grime.

It was Naomi Pierce!
She apparently hadn't expected Claire Bennett to be here either. When she saw Claire Bennett, she froze for a moment, clearly caught off guard too.

Originally, for her engagement gown, she had wanted the owner of Vivian Yu Studio to design it for her.
But Vivian Yu had said she was busy with Fashion Week and had no time to do the design, so Naomi Pierce had no choice but to go to another designer who wasn't nearly as famous, and she'd always regretted it.
She herself didn't even get to wear a gown from Vivian Yu, so what right did Claire Bennett have to wear one from Vivian Yu Studio!
When Luna Brooks and Meng Lifen saw Naomi Pierce appear, they immediately straightened up.

Claire Bennett curled her lips into a sneer and said unhurriedly, "Do you two live inside a gossip trap? Why do you talk in such a nasty, snide way?"
"What did you say!" They glared at Claire Bennett.
At that moment, the sales associate who had gone to get Claire Bennett's gown came back.
"Miss, the gown you asked for is here." Before she could finish speaking, Meng Lifen reached out and snatched the gown from her hands.
Luna Brooks also turned to the sales associate beside her and said viciously, "We'll pay double to rent the gown she's wearing. Make her take it off right now!"
The two of them were deliberately targeting Claire Bennett to curry favor with Naomi Pierce and make her lose all face.
Although Ethan Sterling was only a manager for the time being, he was still a member of the Sterling family, so it went without saying what his future status would be.
