"Here's the thing—hasn't Bennett Group released a new design recently? Everyone in the office was looking at it in secret. We originally didn't plan to let Designer Asher see it, but he still ended up seeing it by accident."
Claire Bennett let out a helpless sigh in her heart. With Ava Bennett promoting it so aggressively this time, how could he possibly not see it? Sooner or later, he was going to see it.

"And then?" she asked.
Molly Lee said, "After Designer Asher finished looking at it, he didn't say anything. He just looked especially down. I even went over and comforted him, told him that once the new design that comes later is released, it'll definitely outshine Bennett Group's side. Designer Asher didn't say much then either—he just nodded silently."
Claire Bennett narrowed her eyes. It looked like this design had dealt Asher Bell quite a blow.
She took out Bennett Group's design and looked at it again.
The theme of this necklace was the starry sky, but for some reason, Claire Bennett felt that didn't seem to be all there was to it. Maybe there was another, deeper meaning. For Asher, maybe it was the collapse of his faith that had made him break down completely.
Claire Bennett sighed and said, "Let's wait a little longer before releasing our new design. After all, it's Asher's design. I still hope he can witness the release of this design with his own eyes."

She searched through the whole place and finally found Asher on the bed in the bedroom.
He was sprawled on the bed like he was dead, looking utterly dejected. Molly Lee didn't have the luxury of caring about any of that, and directly hauled him up. "Designer Asher, wake up. I need to tell you something."
Asher let out a low groan. Supporting his swollen, aching head, he sat up. Only after struggling to open his sleepy eyes did he see clearly that the person standing in front of him was Molly Lee.
He said softly, "Assistant Li, what are you doing here?"
Molly Lee took a deep breath and said through gritted teeth, "Designer Asher, do you know that the boss and everyone at Maison Verne are all waiting to release the new product with you? During this whole time, everyone has been helping you. For the sake of your design, even Designer Xiang put aside his own work to assist you. And this is how you repay us—by drinking here? Have you been worthy of us?"
After Molly Lee blasted him like that, guilt appeared on Asher's face.
He said pitifully, "I'm sorry..."
Molly Lee had originally wanted to say more, but seeing Asher like this, she couldn't get the rest of the words out.
