Chapter 82
The Eldest Young Master of the Quinn Family
Seeing the troubled look on Ruby Sterling's face, she said, "It's okay if you can't find anyone. Why don't the three of us just go?"
"No!" Ruby Sterling rejected it flatly.
Based on what she knew about Claire Bennett, Claire would definitely suggest sleeping together with her tonight, so she absolutely had to find one more person.
Just when she was panicking, Julian Sterling spoke up. "I'll find someone."
"You'll find someone? Who could you possibly find..." Ruby Sterling said with disdain. Wasn't Julian Sterling afraid of blowing his cover? Everyone around him was either rich or powerful.
Without waiting for the two of them to agree, Julian Sterling had already taken out his phone and made a call.
Expressionless, he said in a low voice, "I'll send you the location. Take a cab over within ten minutes. We're going camping, me and Ruby Sterling."
After saying that briefly, Julian Sterling ended the call directly.
Claire Bennett and Ruby Sterling both looked over curiously, not knowing who exactly he had called, or whether it was a man or a woman.
They waited in the car for a full ten minutes before they saw a cab pull up beside them. Then the door opened, and a tall, handsome man got out.
When Ruby Sterling saw the man, her eyes widened in shock. "Cameron Quinn!"
Holy shit, how had her brother called this guy over?!
Seeing the stunned expression on Ruby Sterling's face, Claire Bennett asked in confusion, "Ruby, do you know him?"
"Uh... hahaha, I have, have met him once. We're not very familiar..." Ruby Sterling hurriedly laughed it off and gave a brief explanation.
What a joke! How could she possibly not know him!
He was one of New York's Four Young Elites, the eldest young master of the Quinn family, Cameron Quinn—her brother's good buddy!
Ruby Sterling shot Julian Sterling a glance, seeming to blame him for calling Cameron Quinn over, but Julian Sterling looked straight ahead as if he hadn't seen Ruby Sterling's look at all. In the end, Ruby Sterling could only compromise.
Afraid that Cameron Quinn might not know the situation and let something slip, exposing Julian Sterling's identity for Claire Bennett to find out, she rushed forward first and pulled him aside.
Only after making sure Claire Bennett couldn't hear did Ruby Sterling lower her voice and ask, "Hey, Cameron Quinn, how did you come back from overseas? No, wait, weren't you supposed to be in New York? How are you in Chicago?"
Cameron Quinn didn't speak. He only looked at Ruby Sterling and answered with a question of his own. "You broke up?"
At the mention of that bad-luck man, Ruby Sterling's face instantly darkened.
She quickly waved her hand and said, "It's enough that you know, don't stab me in the heart over it. Sigh... forget about my business for now. I'm telling you, Claire still doesn't know my brother's identity. Be smart about it, and absolutely don't let anything slip, got it?"
Cameron Quinn's gaze fell on Julian Sterling, and a teasing smile slowly curled at the corners of his mouth.
He had been wondering just now why the dignified President Sterling was driving this beat-up little car.
So that was what was going on.
He had received some insider gossip that Julian Sterling had suddenly rushed into a marriage with a Cinderella. He hadn't expected there to be details like this behind it. It really was interesting.
While Ruby Sterling and Cameron Quinn were whispering to each other, Claire Bennett was also sizing them up.
The two of them were huddled so close together whispering in each other's ears. Did they really look like people who weren't very familiar?
She couldn't help quietly walking over to Julian Sterling's side and lowering her voice to ask softly, "Julian Sterling, your friend, he..."
Julian Sterling followed her gaze.
Other people might not know what Cameron Quinn was thinking, but he knew it best. As soon as Cameron Quinn found out Ruby Sterling had broken up, he immediately flew back from overseas and rushed nonstop to Chicago. He liked her but didn't dare show it. Coward!
He curled his lips slightly. "Cameron Quinn works in real estate."
"Oh, so he's a real estate agent." Claire Bennett nodded and immediately settled on Cameron Quinn's profession for him.
Julian Sterling heard that, but didn't explain.
After all, as a driver who drove for other people, how could he possibly know some rich young master? A real estate agent fit perfectly within his social circle.
If Young Master Quinn over there heard what Julian Sterling had said right now, he would probably cough up blood.
The dignified future heir of the Quinn family had actually been reduced to selling houses?
No, that wasn't right—he did indeed sell houses, but that wasn't how you introduced him!
There were four great wealthy families in New York. The Sterling family and the Quinn family were two of them, and the other two were the Bennett family and the Foster family. Cameron Quinn was also a rich young master. He had known Julian Sterling since childhood and was his good brother.
Ruby Sterling and Cameron Quinn quickly got on the same page, and the four of them got into the car together and drove toward the camping site.
After sitting in the car, Ruby Sterling realized something very important.
Just now all she'd been thinking about was making sure Claire Bennett wouldn't squeeze in and sleep with her, but her brother had called Cameron Quinn over. So didn't that mean she would have to share a tent with Cameron Quinn?
Oh my God! At that moment, Ruby Sterling felt like vomiting three liters of blood.
With a mournful face, she silently swallowed this dumb loss. For Claire Bennett to become her real sister-in-law, she could only sacrifice herself!
As they drove along, mellow music drifted through the car, a bluesy English love song. The soothing melody, the lively rhythm, and the anticipation of going out to have fun made the knot in Claire Bennett's heart instantly clear away.
If only time could stay frozen like this forever...
Two hours later, they arrived at their camping destination.
This was a partially developed stretch of lush green grassland, surrounded by trees, with an absolutely beautiful little lake. It was managed by staff and open for people to camp, and several cars were already parked there. It looked like other people had come out camping today too.
After getting out of the car, Ruby Sterling started directing them to set up the tents.
Although Julian Sterling didn't know how to wash dishes, he had still learned this kind of outdoor common sense. Very quickly, he set up the tents, two small tents right next to each other.
After they had sorted out the sleeping arrangements, Claire Bennett and Ruby Sterling carried the sleeping bags into the tents.
Just as Claire Bennett was about to go into Ruby Sterling's tent, Ruby Sterling stretched out an arm to stop her. "Claire, what are you going in there for? The one next door is where you're sleeping tonight."
