The Clean Brief
Elise wrote a brief that was only three pages long and one sentence in each.
The legal team expected more.
They stood in court with the new packet and Priya checked it once under red light.
"No overclaim," Priya said.
The packet line one:
The system recorded owner unknown for one witness override.
Line two:
No named person was able to sign witness refusal in real-time.
Line three:
Requested corrective disclosure of maintenance identity and switch owner.
The judge read each and looked at them as if they were deliberately minimal.
"Why so short?" he asked.
Elise answered, "Because this is what can be proven."
Mara added one short phrase: "Everything else is still speculation."
Bell gave one supporting table for hashes.
The panel asked for one supplemental affidavit from Bell’s access history. He gave it with visible discomfort.
At evening they left without a ruling.
The unknown source sent one line:
**Short brief means clean line; clear line means no retreat.
Priya said, "That might be the best compliment we get."
Elise wrote her own line:
A clean brief is the closest thing to trust we can force from procedure.
