The Queue Returns

For the first time since chapter one, the queue returned without fear.

Not the witness queue on paper. A literal queue of cases moved by correction office, and theirs finally shifted to active.

Bell received the update and said, "We are now in the correction stream."

Elise felt wary. Correction can still be delay dressed as progress.

Priya reviewed the new schedule:

Mara asked if owner testimony would even happen.

Elise shook her head. "Not if they dodge."

But the hearing ordered direct owner statement under oath because alias remained inconsistent.

At 11:17, a courier delivered one envelope with only one line:

The queue can return and still end in closed channel.

The unknown source had become less threatening, more precise.

At the hearing, one person appeared to testify as owner-adjacent.

No full name. No face. Only a voice:

I was the one who cleared the room for emergency.

Elise asked, "Clear for who?"

Voice: "No face can be stored."

Priya said this was not testimony, this was policy.

The judge asked for proof of identity of that voice.

The owner-adjacent voice provided only a code phrase and left.

The hearing paused and converted the statement into a non-person witness.

Elise asked, "So they still hide behind voice."

Bell answered, "No. They now admit a category."

She wrote one clean line:
